The Maharashtra left-hander, fresh from leading India Colts to victory in the Asia Cup against Pakistan, has been named skipper of the Under-19 squad that will defend its World Cup title in the UAE in February.

India, the three-time champs, have been clubbed with Pakistan, Scotland and Papua New Guinea in Group A. India will open their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on February 15 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
