Urvesh Patel's 245 puts Reshimbag on top

NAGPUR: Urvesh Patel is finally showing glimpses of his talent. He had been one of the prolific scorers in the Under-19 category for Vidarbha but somehow couldn't show the same consistency in the last two three years. It seems he has realized the value of getting big knock. On Wednesday, Patel made his start count and slammed a brilliant double hundred.His run-a-ball 245 has put Reshimbag Gymkhana in commanding position against Indian Gymkhana in the league match of the 2nd edition of late MN Dorairajan inter-club cricket tournament on Wednesday.
At Vidarbha Cricket Association's Kalamna ground, Reshimbag Gymkhana scored a mammoth 444 for the loss of six wickets in just 96.3 overs. Kuldeep Salve (82) was the other notable contributor. Earlier, Indian Gymkhana were bundled out for 221 in their first innings. Off-spinner Mangesh Joshi was the pick of the Reshimbag bowlers picking up four wickets for only 48 runs.
At VCA Civil Lines ground, Numan Aansari scored a magnificent 133 for Porwal Cricket Club as they declared their first innings for 324-9 after bowling out VCA Cricket Academy for 222. Ishan Bhisikar scored a responsible 107. Vinod Kushwaha and Amit Shukla picked up three wickets each.
