MUMBAI: A hat-trick by left-arm spinner Madhusudhan Acharya and an unbeaten century by middle order batsman Kunal Mathure gave Account General (L&R) their first-ever Times Shield cricket tournament title on Tuesday, the opening day of the three-day C Division final at the Worli Sports Club ground.
Their opponents, Mafatlal, conceded defeat when AG took a huge lead of 194 runs after bowling out Mafatlal for 98.

By close, AG had scored 292 for 6.
With the second innings being restricted to just 40 overs each side, it left Mafatlal very little chance to stage a comeback. By the end of the day's play, Mafatlal conceded defeat at the end of the day's play.
