Singh, Valsankar plot Rizvi's collapse
MUMBAI: An inexplicable collapse helped Jhunjhunwala fight back on Day One of the Junior Collegiate cricket final against Rizvi, bowling them out for 286. Rizvi were cruising at 155 for two before medium pacer Atul Singh (3-62) and spinner Parikshit Valsankar (3-39) struck at regular intervals to end Rizvi's innings in the two-day match.
Kunal Dubey (73) and Manish Gupta (58) steadied Rizvi's innings with timely knocks and if it wasn't for the effort of Aditya Shembadkar's unbeaten innings (52*), Rizvi would have been in a lot of trouble.
