JAIPUR: Umpiring standards at the domestic level have been a concern for the
Board of Control for Cricket in India (
BCCI). To address this issue, the Board has decided to seek help from Australian
Simon Taufel.
The highly respected umpire who retired from international duties last year, has been roped in to conduct a three-day training camp for Indian umpires before the Ranji Trophy season.
Taufel will conduct special classes for the umpires in the camp to be held in Nagpur in August-September .
The BCCI hopes this exposure will help the Indian umpires.
