MUMBAI: Young turk Siddhesh Lad slammed 102 (48b, 7x4, 9x6), adding 129 for the second wicket with Swapnil Pradhan to help National Cricket Club beat DY Patil SC in the final and annex the Prabodhan Mumbai T20 tournament title. DY Patil's hopes of winning this event for the fourth time on the trot were thus, dashed.
DY Patil scored 179 for nine, thanks to half-centuries from Shoaib Shaikh (56 off 38 balls) and Pankaj Jaiswal (52 off 27 balls, 6x6).
National lost Jaffer early , but recovered well as Lad and Pradhan (28, 29b) combined for a big partnership. They looked to be panicking at one stage, before Balkrishna Shirke hammered 17 off just five balls to help them regain this title after a gap of three years.
