LONDON: England left-arm spinner SamitPatel is all set to feature in the second edition of the Indian Premier Leagueafter he was registered for next month's player auction, a report here said.
According to a report in 'The Daily Telegraph', Patel, who touredIndia last year with the England One-day team and also found a place in the WestIndies bound ODI squad, has drawn the attention of Delhi Daredevils.
Apart from Patel, Essex all-rounder Graham Napier is the otherEnglish player whose name features in the auction list and has attracted theinterest of Mumbai Indians.
However, the report stated that bothPatel, who plays for Nottinghamshire, and Napier would require a no objectioncertificate from the England and Wales Cricket Board and their respective countyteams to play in the tournament, scheduled to be held from April 10 to May 29.
Hampshire captain Dimitri Mascarenhas, who has also been selected inEngland's ODI squad for the West Indies tour, is the only English player to haveplayed in the IPL, for eventual champions Rajasthan Royals, in its inauguralseason last year.
