MUMBAI: An unbeaten century by Sagar Kerkar helped Sunil Gavaskar XI take a vital 96-run first innings lead over Sachin Tendulkar XI on the second day of their three-day match in their under-25 tournament match for the Madhav Mantri XI at the Police Gymkhana on Monday.
This is Kerkar’s second hundred of this tournament. His unbeaten 117-run knock contained six sixes and 12 hits to the ropes, and took 141 balls.
Earlier, Tendulkar XI made 261, with captain Shashank Singh (90) and Manish Rao (64) being the main run-getters.
