Rajesh Chouhan wants Sourav Ganguly as Indian coach

NAGPUR: The continuous failure of Duncan Fletcher as Team India coach has prompted many former cricketers to say that it is time to get rid of veteran Zimbabwean.
On Friday, former ace Indian off-spinner Rajesh Chouhan echoed the thoughts of many and said it is the right time to change the coach.
"Ever since Fletcher took charge of the Indian team, we have not performed up to the expectations.So, it is the appropriate time to replace him with Sourav Ganguly. Dada seems to be the right option for us," said Chouhan.
He was speaking to the media after inaugurating the 44th Shanti Swaroop Bhatnagar Memorial Indoor Games tournament, organised by National Environmental Engineering Reasearch Institute (NEERI).
"Ganguly can revive the sagging morale of the Indian team. He can bring in the right changes after series of losses," said Chouhan.
One of the most successful off-spinners India have ever produced, Chouhan, said India should bank upon their spinners against Australia in the forthcoming Test series.
"Spin has always been India's strength. We should stick to that. Australian team has many inexperienced players and they might find Indian spinners tough to handle," added Chouhan.
