NEW DELHI: The sixth edition of the ICC WorldT20 has kicked off with eight Associate teams including Bangladesh fighting it out for the two spots up for grabs in the main draw. On Tuesday, Zimbabwe beat Hong Kong by 14 runs to start their campaign on a winning note. Vusi Sibanda's fifty and a late cameo from Elton Chigumbura took Zimbabwe to 158/8. In reply, Hong Kong finished on 144/6 in their 20 overs.

On Tuesday, Hong Kong's Ryan Campbell became the oldest T20I debutant. Campbell has also represented Australia earlier in his career but his last game as an Australian professional came a decade back. However, the wicketkeeper-batsman revived his career, making his comeback to competitive cricket in Hong Kong colours that culminated in a T20I debut at the age of 44 years and 30 days against Zimbabwe in the opening match of the first round of WT20 in India.
