JAIPUR: Nasir Hossain is one of those Bangladeshi cricketers, who love interacting with his fans regularly. Ever since his debut in 2011, the Bangladesh all-rounder has ensured that he keeps in regular touch with his fans all across the globe.
Such has been the story for the last few years. Banking on Facebook and Twitter, the Bangladesh star regularly interacted with fans on various issues.
And now, in order to come closer to them, Hossain has come out with his personal website nasir-hossain.com, becoming the first ever Bangladeshi cricketer from the present crop, to do so.
Playing with the likes of Shakib-Al-Hasan, the young cricketer has already made his presence felt in the international arena.
Ask him about his new endeavour and Nasir says it will help him connect with fans better. "I already have official Facebook and Twitter pages and now with this website people will be able to get all the necessary information and updates about my career," Nasir told The Times of India on Sunday.
The website, which was launched on Tuesday has already become a hit among the Bangladesh cricket fans, and that's what is making him happy. "It's definitely a big thing to come closer to the people who watch your game," Nasir said.
Though the website will be administered by his brother, the fans will get a chance to chat with Nasir. "It's not always possible to interact with everybody on Facebook or twitter, this definitely will be a better and personal space," Nasir said.
In a country like Bangladesh where cricketers are treated like demigods, such a move would certainly reduce the gap between a cricketer and the fans
