KARACHI: Pakistan cricket coach Geoff Lawson on Thursday rubbished reports about his differences with the national selectors and also reposed faith in his players, saying he was happy with the way the team was shaping up.
Lawson told reporters here that he had no issues with the selectors and chief selector Salahuddin Ahmed was like a brother to him.
Lawson was quoted as saying recently in a radio interview in Sydney that he was concerned with the ad-hoc policy of selecting players and also that some senior players needed to show more responsibility and commitment.
On being asked about the interview, he said "one must not believe everything that is published in the press.
"Did anyone here the interview themselves? I don't think so. What I can say is that if I have any issues with any individuals in the team I speak to them and will speak to them," he said.
"But definitely as a team I am satisfied with the performance and efforts of the players," he added.
