BANGALORE: The injured Indian pace trio of Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan and Laxmipathy Balaji have kick started their rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy.
With a home series against Australia, starting February 22, the trio is closely working with NCA physiotherapist Nitin Patel to recover in time.
Zaheer suffered calf strain midway through Mumbai's Ranji Trophy campaign while Pathan too injured his knee during the domestic season for Baroda.

Tamil Nadu cricketer Balaji has been nursing a knee injury for quite some time.
The trios is expected to be in the academy for the next two weeks. Meanwhile right arm pacer Parvinder Awana too has reported to NCA for his fitness assessment.
