MUMBAI: Former India stumper and Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA's) managing committee member
Chandrakant Pandit stressed on the importance of fitness in modern-day cricket as he spoke to eager upcoming players while inaugurating the off-season conditioning camp of the Rizvi Springfield High School at their premises in Bandra on Monday.
Pandit gave a pep talk to the youngsters on how to improve upon their physical fitness and the game.
"Fitness is an important part of the game. If you are fit you can play longer and better. Hence all seasons (including rains) should be utilized well by cricketers instead of taking a break. In today's game being supremely fit is a prerequisite," said Pandit.
