DHARAMSALA, December 2: Despite having Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir in their ranks, Delhi suffered the ignominy of being bowled out for 75 on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Super League match against Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. Replying to the hosts’ first innings total of 341, the Delhi effort lasted just 23.3 overs and they were made to follow on.
Only Gambhir could get into double figures, scoring 13, while captain Sehwag made nine.
Extras, at 15, were the biggest contributors to Delhi’s score.
Thakur and Vikramjit Malik ran through the Delhi batting, taking four and six wickets respectively. Delhi ended the day at 38 without loss in their second outing. Gambhir and Sehwag were at the crease with three and 31 respectively.
Earlier, Himachal ended their first innings at 341 with Paras Dogra scoring 81.
