Swapnil Asnodkar (80) and Shrideep Mangela (40) helped DY Patil beat Tata Sports Club by seven runs to storm into the final of the DY Patil T20 Cricket Tournament.

MUMBAI: Riding on a smashing 80-run knock of from one-down bat Swapnil Asnodkar and his 107-run partnership with opener Shrideep Mangela (40), Hosts DY Patil pipped Tata Sports Club by seven runs to storm into the final of the DY Patil T20 Cricket Tournament at the DY Patil Stadium in Nerul on Saturday.
In the title round, the hosts will take on India Cements, who outplayed Reliance One by 58 runs in the second semifinal.

DY Patil Group 'A' didn't enjoy the best of starts after their captain Iqbal Abdullah elected to bat first, with opener Framan Ahmed returning to the pavilion after scoring nine. However, Asnodkar was in a murderous mood, making every ball count, his knock comprising four sixes and eight hits to the fence. DY Patil scored 171 for five in 20 overs.
In reply, Tata SC were restricted to 164 for 7 in 20 overs, with only Nikhil Patil (38) and Wilkin Mota (34) putting up some fight. Dinesh Salunkhe and Sachin Chitnis grabbed two wickets apiece.
