MUMBAI: DY Patil Sports Club's Sarvesh Damle revived memories of Javed Miandad's last ball six against India at Sharjah when he slammed Payyade Sports Club's Mundeep Mangela to the straight boundary to win for his side the Prabhodhan T20 title at Goregaon on Sunday. Five were needed off the last ball.
When he came to bat DY Patil needed 18 off the last over.

Damle hooked a six off the first ball. And after keeping his cool, he lashed out to give last year's runner-up the prize of Rs one lakh.
Chief guest Dilip Vengsarkar said,"I was fielding when Javed hit that six. At 180 for 8 we thought we had won the match but Javed proved us wrong. He sold that bat for about Rs one crore. I don't think Damle would do that."
DY Patil's hero was Ashok Kadam with 79 off 39 balls with thre fours and eight sixes. Abhay Waghmare played his part with 28 off 15 with four sixes in a row off Anup Revankar while Yogesh Pawar stood unbeaten with a steady 42.
Onkar Khanvilkar topscored for the losers with 69.Dinesh Salunkhe scored an unbeaten 19 but got only one over after going for 18.
