VADODARA, February 10: The crucial Duleep Trophy tie between West Zone and England Lions, starting on Monday, will decide who enters the knockout stage of the tournament.
Both teams have a formidable line up with players in form and are determined on emerging victorious at any cost.
West Zone skipper Parthiv Patel said "we have to win this match and will do whatever possible for snatching the victory from the rivals."
The hosts have a deep batting line up with Wasim Jaffer, captain Parthiv Patel, experienced hands Rajesh Powar, Yusuf Pathan and promising Ajinkya Kukreja.
Parthiv, coach Praveen Amre and manager Atul Bedade will find it difficult to choose their final eleven from the players at their disposal.
Jaffer's return to the team is expected to boost the morale of the side.
At the same time, departure of medium pacer Munaf Patel after being called for duty in Australia, is likely to weaken the bowling department. However, Ashraf Makra is capable of taking his place.
On the other hand, the England Lions has a very good bowling line-up.
