As Chairman, he will be CA's delegate to the International Cricket Council (ICC) Board.
He paid tribute to O'Connors outstanding service to Australian cricket administration at a state, national and international level and said he hoped to continue Mr. O'Connor's strong focus on CA's board working in the collective interest of all Australian cricket at both the grassroots and elite level.
"In particular, Creagh has won the respect of the global cricket community for his measured diplomacy at a time of complex international issues which have been managed on a culturally diverse world stage," Clarke said.
