Cricket Australia announced separate squads for the first two ODIs against Pak so that more national players could turn up for their domestic sides in Big Bash tournament final.

MELBOURNE: Cricket Australia, on Thursday, announced separate 12-man squads for the first two One-dayers against Pakistan so that more national players could turn up for their domestic sides in the finals of the Big Bash tournament.
The five match series begins in Brisbane on January 22. The preliminary final of the Twenty20 competition is slated for January 19 and the final is scheduled for January 23.

South Australia have already qualified for the finals and are waiting to know their opponents.
According to Cricket Australia, Mitchell Johnson will not play the first three ODIs to manage his workload and will join the squad for the last two matches in Perth.
All rounder James Hopes has been selected for the series opening match in Brisbane match and middle-order batsman Adam Voges will replace him in the second ODI in Sydney.
National Selection Panel Chairman Andrew Hilditch said the selection has been made in such a way that neither T20 event nor the series against Pakistan gets affected.
The squads:
For first ODI on January 22 in Brisbane:
Ricky Ponting (c), Michael Clarke (vc), Doug Bollinger, Brad Haddin, Nathan Hauritz, James Hopes, Mike Hussey, Shaun Marsh, Clint McKay, Peter Siddle, Shane Watson and Cameron White.
For second ODI on 24 January in Sydney:
Ricky Ponting (c), Michael Clarke (vc), Doug Bollinger, Brad Haddin, Nathan Hauritz, Mike Hussey, Shaun Marsh, Clint McKay, Peter Siddle, Adam Voges, Shane Watson and Cameron White
