MUMBAI: Defending champions and hosts DY Patil 'A' crashed to a six-wicket defeat against Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in a quarterfinal encounter of the 10th All India Dr DY Patil T20 Cup on Wednesday.
Indian Oil, Reliance-1 and ONGC are the other three teams who won their respective quarterfinal matches to join BPCL in the semifinals.
BPCL medium pacers Saurabh Netravalkar (3-25) and Jaydev Unadkat (2-22) exploited the chinks in the home team's batting to restrict them to just 121 runs for the loss of six wickets from their 20 overs.
Saurabh Tiwari 46 runs from 38 balls and
Siddharth Chitnis 26 for 24 balls were the only batsmen to get some decent scores.
The petroleum side faced little problems in chasing down the total. Uday Kaul struck 42 from 40 balls and skipper
Suryakumar Yadav compiled 25 runs from 21 balls.
