VADODARA: The newly-elected managing committee of the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) has decided to set up a cricket academy in the state.
At its first meeting held on Thursday, the committee also decided to earmark Rs 1 crore in fond memory of late H H Maharaja Ranjitsinh Gaekwad who died on May 10 last year, for providing scholarship and awards to junior cricketers.
It has also appointed the senior selection committee for the 2012-13 season and the panel, to be headed by C R Mohite, also includes former India players Nayan Mongia and Jacob Martin.
