BCA set to axe BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel

VADODARA: BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel faced a major setback in his home association on Sunday when the managing committee of Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) decided to remove him from the panel.
The committee decided to remove Patel, Hemant Choksi, Kaushik Bhatt and Dr Anandrao Patel after an hour- long deliberation. The decision was taken after legal opinion sought by BCA stated that the managing committee has powers to remove illegally appointed members.
Patel, however, claimed it was an 'act of vengeance' and said that he would take appropriate action once he received the notice.
The issue of legitimacy of the four above-mentioned members including Patel came to fore in March after two BCA members wrote letters to the association.
