KOLKATA: The newly elected skipper of the Indian women cricket team Jhulan Goswami says the upcoming Australia series would be very challenging but the medium pacer promised a good performance by her side.
"Australia is world champions. But our's is also a well balanced team. So the series is going to be an interesting and at the same time challenging one," Jhulan, who replaced earlier incumbent Mithali Raj of Hyderabad, said.

Our main task would be to remain positive and mentally strong beside playing well and according to strategy," said Jhulan who had been deputy to Mithali Raj before taking over as the skipper.
Indian women will play five One-Day International and one Twenty-20 match during the tour.
Rumeli and I have played a number of international matches together. I am delighted to have her as the vice-captain of the side as we have very good understanding."
Jhulan said the team would have a conditioning camp at Mumbai from October 12 and leave for Australia on October 18.
