MOHALI: Amritsar could not capitalize on the initial start and were bowled out for 280 in 106 overs against Patiala on the second day of the Punjab State Inter-district (under-22) Cricket Tournament being played at PCA Stadium, Mohali on Friday.
Amritsar started their innings from their overnight score of 253 for 7 in 94.3 overs and were soon all out.
Sharad Lumba (95), Navneet Singh (69), Raman Arora (32) and Shiv Love (30) were main run getters for Amritsar and Mohit Mohindra (5/79), Robin Dhillon (2/77) and Bhavish Goel (2/30) were the main wicket takers for Patiala.
In reply, Patiala were 193 for 2 in 82 overs at the close of day's play.
Kunwar Raina made 72 runs in 185 balls with the help of nine boundaries. Vikramdit Singh also made 20 runs in 61 balls with the help of three boundaries.
Jeevanjot Singh remained unbeaten on 80 runs in 222 balls. He stayed quite long on the crease and just hit five boundaries.
Preet Kamal Rai is still batting on an individual score of 5 runs. Their innings revolved around Kunwar Raina and Jiwanjot Singh who scored 143 runs for the first wicket partnership.
For Amritsar, Rahul Kanojia (1/48) and Arush Sabarwal (1/23) were the main wicket takers. The third day's play would start at 7 am on Saturday.
