I tried to keep it simple by bowling wicket to wicket here," he said.
Though, the wicket wasn’t the best for strokeplay, it must have been difficult for him to comeback from the mauling he, like most other bowlers, had been subjected to in the series earlier. "Sure, it’s not been a great series for the bowlers and that just increases the joy of bagging the Man of the Match award. I wasn’t thinking too much about the previous games." Skipper Rahul

Dravid, who has now led India to victories in all three matches he has captained, was all praise for Agarkar. "He kept it tight and bowled according to the plan. He just needs to keep that on."
Dravid was confident of a good show in the final match at Vijaywada. "We have been batting quite well in this series and here we bowled well too. We have a very good chance of winning in Vijaywada," he said.
West Indian skipper Carl Hooper said the wicket was very different to those laid out for the earlier games. "It wasn’t true and didn’t bounce as well. But you can’t really complain. In the end, I think we were about 30-40 runs short."
