Los Angeles Lakers star, Anthony Davis is currently listed as questionable for their NBA Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors. Davis was on the floor for the Lakers' most recent game where they lost 117-114 to the Detroit Pistons. The 31-year-old played a team-high 39 minutes that night recording 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.

Anthony Davis has been crucial for the Lakers this season and is currently putting up 26.6 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 52% from the field. Without his contributions, LeBron James and Co would most likely be out of the top eight in the West by now. League sources claim that Davis is being closely monitored for the Lakers’ game against the Warriors.

The 31-year-old is fighting through a left shoulder contusion which has been caused by the heavy offensive load on his shoulders. What’s surprising is that Davis has only missed one game this season despite his extensive history with injuries. Including AD, the Lakers currently have seven players on their injury report.

LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell have also been listed as questionable. Furthermore, Jaxson Hayes, Jarred Vanderbilt, Jalen Hood-Schifino, and Christian Wood have all been ruled out for the Lakers’ upcoming game. With so many players dealing with injuries, LA might find it tough to hold down the Warriors’ fast-paced transition offense.

Hopefully, Davis is fit for the game because he has historically been good against the Warriors. Davis averages 23.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists against the Dubs. Surely, this will prove to be a big factor tomorrow. The Warriors and the Lakers are neck to neck in the West and currently hold the eighth and seventh seed, respectively.

This might be one of the last few times we see LeBron James and Stephen Curry going head-to-head. So, for LeBron to be missing Anthony Davis will surely be a huge miss. However, do note that both LeBron and Davis have been on the Lakers’ injury report ahead of most of their games this season. In the end, both stars usually end up playing, which could be the case again tonight.
