Beal Jr., vice chairman of the Miami Dolphins, joins the Celtics' new ownership group led by Massachusetts native Bill Chisholm.

Wyc Grousbeck, who led the charge in acquiring the Celtics for $360 million back in 2002, will remain the team's governor until the 2027-28 season to help with a smooth transition.
His ongoing involvement ensures stability and continuity for the franchise, which has enjoyed notable success, including two NBA titles, under his leadership.
