The claim quickly gained traction, propelling fans to question whether the Anyone but You star really has a soft spot for Herro’s game. While Herro has been on a streak of adding good performance for his team, the rumor of Sweeney naming him as her favorite player has sparked a huge discussion online.
The breakout speculation sparked after an X user with the handle name, @HeatCulture13 posted on the platform, “TRENDING: Famous actress Sydney Sweeney says Tyler Herro is her favorite player in recent interview. “I love watching him (Herro) play. He has been the best guard in the East this season and definitely deserves to be in the all star game.” Tyler is finally getting his respect.”

The post also featured an image of Euphoria star wearing a Miami Heat tank top seemed to back the claim that she named Herro as her favorite player. However, it turns out the photo and the interview were both fake.
Later, the post's creator clarified attempting to stop the misinformation, saying, "Don’t mind me, just bored on an off day having fun with the new Grok tool." The image of Sweeney was actually generated by Elon Musk’s AI company, xAI, using its chatbot. The logo of Grok can be seen, at the corner of the image.

However, the clarification was not enough to stop the rumor as the image of Sweeney and the post quickly claimed wide attention as the xAI generative tool created the near-perfect version of the 27-year-old.
As of writing this piece, the actress has not responded to the viral moment involving her with the Heat star. Sweeney has been a standout star in Hollywood with several remarkable roles in her resume including Immaculate, The White Lotus, and Reality. She has appeared in movies and shows across genres.
