Stephen Curry joins Unrivaled as investor; find out more about the sports league

Stephen Curry has invested in Unrivaled. The four-time NBA champion and Olympic gold medalist has made an investment in the newly launched 3x3 women's basketball league. He joins an impressive roster of investors that includes JuJu Watkins, Michael Phelps, Alex Morgan, Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Coco Gauff, and Dawn Staley. His investment was part of Unrivaled's oversubscribed Series A funding round in December, through which the league secured over $28 million, in addition to the $7 million raised during its seed funding round announced in May 2024, bringing the total funding to $35 million.

What is Unrivaled and how does it work?

Unrivaled, co-founded by WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, has recently concluded its regular season and is preparing for a two-day postseason event next Sunday and Monday.

In the postseason, the second-seeded Rose team, led by Angel Reese, will compete against Alyssa Thomas and the third-seeded Laces in the first semifinal. In the other semifinal, Collier's top-seeded Lunar Owls will face Dearica Hamby, Aliyah Boston, and the fourth-seeded Vinyl. The winners of these matchups will move on to the final on Monday.
