Sophie Cunningham shared jovial moment with her new teammates during their second preseason game
Sophie Cunningham and her camaraderie with her new teammates, Caitlin Clark and Lexie Hull, were at their finest on Sunday when they both joked about their performances in the game. The Indiana Fever’s competition against the Brazil National Team was marked by several key moments, such as Caitlin Clark delivering an enthralling performance in front of the Iowa crowd.
A brief moment among Cunningham, Clark, and Hull featured a jovial interaction, which went like:
“Did it get loud in here?” Clark asked.
“When you scored? No,” Cunningham responded. She added, “You gotta be better.”
“No one really cared,” was Hull’s input.
Previously, on May 3, 2025, the Indiana Fever defeated the Washington Mystics in a preseason game. The competition saw a lucid chemistry between veteran Cunningham and rookie Clark, speaking clearly of the improved coordination and camaraderie in the reinvented Indiana camp.
The Indiana Fever will take on the Minnesota Lynx on May 17, with undivided focus on staying in the competition till quite late in the postseason. With Cunningham’s experience and Clark’s energy, one can definitely expect fireworks on the court.
Sophie Cunningham, in a previous game, got bullied by Washington Mystics’ Kiki Iriafen, which grabbed headlines. How the new season turns out for the Indiana Fever will be interesting to watch.
