Picking Sides: Sports Analyst Jason Whitlock Chooses the Los Angeles Lakers Star in the LeBron James vs Stephen A. Smith Row

Last week, during the Los Angeles Lakers vs. New York Knicks game, LeBron James was seen walking up to Stephen A. Smith and having a few words with him after the latter made some critical comments about King James' son, Bronny James, who coincidentally also plays for the Lakers. Many have since picked a side in this war of words, and recently sports columnist Jason Whitlock made his stance on the matter clear.Sports columnist Jason Whitlock has recently made his stance known on the matter of LeBron James vs. Stephen A. Smith. James and Smith got into a heated argument at the Lakers vs. Knicks game, and it's all because of some comments Smith made about LeBron's son, Bronny. While many have criticized LeBron for being unprofessional and starting a confrontation with Smith courtside during a game, Whitlock thinks otherwise and took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to write:"LeBron’s spirit is naturally joyful. How did he become this angry, bitter man that we see today? He was raised in a matriarchal culture and household; he doesn’t know his father. Because of this, he has allowed people like Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith to shape his identity."He thinks that Smith going after Bronny so incessantly led to the row between him and LeBron, who seemingly could not take it any longer and had to address the situation. Unfortunately, Bronny is a grown man with his own career, so he and his father will have to learn to take the critique and learn from it rather than get mad about it.Apparently, Stephen A. Smith said on live TV, "I am pleading with LeBron James, as a father. Stop this," referring to Bronny's NBA aspirations. LeBron James, of course, took exception to these comments, feeling that Smith was being unfair to his son. When he confronted Smith at the game, things got pretty intense.According to Smith, LeBron told him to "stop f-ing with my son". Smith has since addressed the confrontation on his show, saying that he understands why LeBron was upset and that he was coming from a place of concern as a father. Many of LeBron's former teammates, like Kevin Love, have come to his defense, calling out Smith for his comments.
