All of us have bad days and the same is currently true for the
Philadelphia 76ers. This NBA team did not have a great start to the season and their recent loss against the Orlando Magic has made matters worse. The 76ers had been performing poorly and on top of that, injuries have further crushed the hopes of the 76ers.
The team’s record dropped to 5-15 after a loss to the Orlando Magic on December 4, 2024, and ticket prices for the game reportedly fell as low as $2. 76ers star player
Joel Embiid has been sidelined and this has also contributed to the current plight of this team.
The team's subpar play and the absence of important players like Paul George and Embiid, who are both battling left knee injuries, are the main causes of the sharp decline in ticket prices, according to ticket marketplace TickPick. One fan on social media said,
"Fans don't even wanna watch no more." People are really unhappy and it all seems justified at this moment.
Embiid began the season with great expectations after winning a gold medal, but this season has not been easy. Unfortunately, an injury and a notorious suspension caused his journey to abruptly fall apart. Even though he made a brief comeback for four games, the team's fortunes could not be turned around.
"Trade him while you still can," one fan said, expressing scepticism about his future with the team.

Online caustic comments have also been triggered by the Sixers' troubles.
“Yeah I’m so sure this is ‘UNBELIEVABLE.’ 2/3 big stars are out and our role players are average. Pretty believable if you ask me," said a fan. Another joked,
"Caitlyn Clark has more pull than Embiid," drawing a comparison between the Cameroonian celebrity and the WNBA player who has an innate ability to attract sizable audiences.
Any deal is improbable because the team recently extended Embiid's contract by three years at a cost of $193 million. Fans are still dubious, though. One user stated,
"No one in that city believes in Joel Embiid," while another conjectured that tickets could soon be distributed in order to prevent empty stadia during TV broadcasts.
Embiid is apparently stepping up his recuperation efforts in an attempt to help the Sixers move up from the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, despite the criticism. It's unclear if the squad can get back on track and win back the trust of the supporters as they work through this difficult time.
