NEW DELHI: Chicago Bulls forward Patrick Williams is set to endure an extended absence as he battles an injured left foot. The 22-year-old, who missed the recent 104-96 victory against Portland due to the foot issue, has been diagnosed with acute bone edema. As a result, Williams is expected to sit out for at least an additional two weeks.

The Bulls officially announced the setback on Tuesday, revealing that Williams will undergo a reassessment after the two-week period to gauge the progress of his recovery.

The 6-foot-7 forward has been a key contributor for the team this season, averaging 10 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and logging an average of 27.3 minutes per game.

Williams' absence will undoubtedly pose a challenge for the Bulls as they navigate their schedule without a valuable member of their roster.

The team will closely monitor his recovery process, aiming for a swift return to action for the talented forward.
