“No one came” - Chris Paul’s Halloween party turns awkward ahead of Los Angeles Clippers teammates’ low attendance

The Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul was all over the internet due to his retirement news, as per Shams Charania. However, things turned out pretty ugly for the Clippers player as he was sent back home by the team, turning his much-anticipated farewell into an unanticipated disaster. But the real question is: Will Paul be able to recover his image in front of his teammates and the franchise ever again?

In a certain occurrence of events, Paul and his wife threw a Halloween party in their suite, and reportedly, only three Los Angeles Clippers players attended the party, with no signs of his other teammates. The party was basically thrown to break the ice between the 12x NBA All-Star and his current teammates. But fate had something else written for the Clippers star. Sports writer Ramona Shelburne wrote something on X that might seem a bit outrageous to Paul and his wife, but it is true. After Paul and his wife considered throwing a successful Halloween Party, inviting all their teammates to their exquisite suite, things took a turn for the worse. One might think that this was unexpected by the hosting couple; however, to some extent, it was quite expected.

Shelburne said, “Some of the things early on — like, he invited guys to his suite at the Rams game, and he threw a Halloween party, and then... no one came. After that, they get worked the first night in Utah, which makes this even sadder. Like, seriously — a Halloween party, and maybe three players showed up. I think Brad came, and Zubac. Chris is trying to be like, ‘I’m going to help you build some culture”

She also further wrote, “I’ll bring guys over to my house. Let’s work out together. Let’s have a Halloween party.’ He and his wife threw the party in the suite after the Halloween game — and again, only three players came. So you’re looking at this and thinking: he’s trying to fill the leadership void the way he knows how, and every time he did, they would kind of recoil. Like, ‘Eh, it’s too much.’”

Chris Paul’s invitation to teammates for Rams Game went unanswered

After what the Los Angeles Clippers did to Chris Paul, it was quite embarrassing for such a prestigious player in the big league. However, this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Once, Chris Paul invited the entire Clippers team to a Rams Game; however, the invitation turned into a disaster as no one showed up.

Paul was here trying to be a leader while setting standards for his teammates. But instead of buying his pure intentions, they parted ways with him. According to the locker room, Paul’s approach was just too personal for everyone, and his teammates were not ready to accept it at any cost.
