NEW DELHI: Donte DiVincenzo led the New York Knicks to a 118-103 victory over the Utah Jazz on Tuesday, hitting a career-high nine 3-pointers and finishing the game with 33 points. The win marked the Knicks' eighth consecutive victory, capping off their best month in almost 30 years with a 14-2 record in January.
DiVincenzo's sharpshooting performance from beyond the arc was just one 3-pointer shy of tying the franchise record, shared by J.R.
Smith and Evan Fournier. Josh Hart recorded his first career triple-double, contributing 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Jalen Brunson added 29 points and nine assists to the Knicks' offensive effort.
The Knicks played their second straight game without OG Anunoby and Julius Randle. Anunoby is day-to-day with right elbow inflammation, while Randle is out indefinitely due to a dislocated shoulder. Despite the absence of key players, the Knicks showcased their depth and efficiency, combining for just five individual turnovers, the second fewest in a game this season.
The Jazz, finishing a six-game road trip, were led by Collin Sexton's 22 points. John Collins recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Keyonte George contributed 15 points off the bench. However, the Knicks took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Jazz 32-13 and securing a comfortable lead that they maintained throughout the fourth quarter. The Knicks' 14 wins in January are the most in a calendar month since March 1994 when a team led by Patrick Ewing and coached by Pat Riley went 14-0.
