NBA fans residing in India are in for a treat! The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced an expansion of its existing content partnership with YouTube which will offer NBA games and live-streamed to fans in India. Fans at home can view these events on the NBA’s YouTube channel and the available line-up will include weekly regular-season games, NBA All-Star 2025, a selection of NBA Playoff games, and the 2025 NBA Finals (presented by YouTube TV).
NBA Is Planning A Major Content Expansion For Indian Fans Via YouTube
The social media page of NBA India also announced the good news on their page. “Catch all the crazy #NBAAllStar action, LIVE and FREE in India on YouTube/ @NBA ! �� �� It's going to be an unforgettable weekend, starting from Saturday, 15th Feb. �� #NBAAllStar #YouTubeLIVE #NBALiveGames,” the post read.
According to reports, the NBA will collaborate with popular content creators to livestream select games and events on their channels. The initiative is kicking off with the popular creator duo Jordindian who will stream the State Farm All-Star and the Slam Dunk competition on their page.
The creator took to Instagram to share a video where the creator is seen unpacking a Lakers jersey featuring James Harden’s name. The content creator revealed that besides the live streaming there will also be some giveaways for their followers. “The crossover we always wanted �� #nba #jordindian,” they captioned the promotional video.
“Expanding our collaboration with YouTube to live-stream NBA games and events in India reflects our commitment to making the excitement of NBA basketball more accessible to the millions of fans across the country," said NBA India Business Head of Global Partnerships and Media Sunny Malik.
“YouTube’s significant reach and innovative, localized offerings will help us better engage fans nationwide and deepen their connection with their favorite NBA teams and players,” he added.
