NEW DELHI: Klay Thompson hit a contested jumper with just two-tenths of a second left on the clock, securing a thrilling 102-101 victory for the Golden State Warriors over the Sacramento Kings. This win marked the Warriors' second victory over the Kings in the early season, and it was another closely fought contest.
Domantas Sabonis had given the Kings a 101-100 lead with a banked-in 20-footer with 15.8 seconds remaining. The Warriors didn't call a timeout and attempted to free up Stephen Curry, but it was Klay Thompson who ultimately took the shot. Thompson made his way inside the free-throw line and hit the game-winning jumper as time expired, with only two-tenths of a second left.
The Kings called a timeout to advance the ball but failed to connect on an alley-oop inbounds play, securing the win for the Warriors.
Golden State had to overcome a significant rebounding deficit, with the Kings outrebounding them 48-36. They also had 18 turnovers, but they managed to secure their fourth consecutive win after an opening home loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 21 points, shooting 4-for-10 on three-point attempts. Dario Saric contributed 15 points, while Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins each had 14 points. Draymond Green added 13 points along with a game-high nine assists, and Jonathan Kuminga finished with 12 points.

The Kings were playing without De'Aaron Fox, who was sidelined with an ankle injury. Despite their offensive struggles, the Kings were competitive, grabbing 14 offensive rebounds to help them stay in the game.
