NBA Hall of Famer Reggie Miller stuns co-hosts by naming Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton in elite list from Indiana

WNBA star Caitlin Clark made her debut as a broadcaster for Basketball Night In America on February 1, 2026. The athlete was also joined by the former Indiana Pacers veteran and Hall of Famer, Reggie Miller. During the pregame show, Miller made a comment that stunned his co-hosts, including Clark. The NBA legend listed out 3 of the best elite shooters from Indiana. However, he put himself in 3rd place, after Caitlin and the current Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton.

As everyone applauded, Caitlin seemed to disagree strongly with the statement. She believed that Tyrese should also be asked for his opinion on this issue. Miller had a legendary career arc during his time within the league. He was a five-time All-Star selection and was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2012 for his contribution to the sport.

Caitlin Clark took up a new role and has impressed her fans and other members of the NBA community. The Indiana Fever star made a successful debut as a broadcaster during the Basketball Night in America. As the entire crew discussed the game, Caitlin was also being praised for her dunk skills and shooting abilities. At this point, former Indiana Pacers star Reggie Miller made a surprising statement. He said, “There is a new, first of all. There is a new shooter from Indiana. You see, I am the third-best shooter in the state of Indiana now.”


Miller went on to list out his top three shooters from Indiana. “There goes Caitlin, Tyrese and now myself. So here, she has taken over for me right here.” Caitlin, however, seems to disagree with the rankings made by the veteran. “That’s not true. That’s not true. We need to get Tyrese’s opinion on that.” It is indeed an honor to be ranked by Miller himself. He is one of the few athletes who have selflessly contributed to the sport.

Reggie Miller’s announcement went viral in moments. Even the WNBA star Caitlin Clark reshared the clip on her X. But instead of issuing a statement on Miller’s comments, Clark made a hilarious comparison instead. As Clark stood alongside Miller, Carmelo Anthony and Maria Taylor, the Indiana Fever star’s height seemed really short. Commenting on that aspect, Clark wrote, “I’m going to wear stilts next time.” Both Miller and Carmelo are 6’7”, while Caitlin is just 6’0.
