The latest game in the OKC home ground against the Minnesota Timberwolves was something out of a fantasy story. The Timberwolves trailed by 24 points in the fourth quarter and by 16 when less than four minutes remained in the game. But Anthony Edwards and the Wolves proved to be formidable opponents, who ran the court till the last second to score a win over the Thunders.

The Oklahoma City Thunders get a last-minute reality check

'It's not over until it's over' is something we have heard a million times, but the Timberwolves took it upon themselves to show us, and the Oklahoma City Thunders, of course, what it really means. Anthony Edwards came up with a block against OKC's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the closing seconds of overtime, to aid the Timberwolves to a stunning 131-128 victory.
The Thunders also failed to score any points in the last four minutes of the game, letting the Wolves creep past them in the race to win, breaching the 20+ points gap. OKC's lead failed them at the end to give the top team a reality check that a game is not over until the final whistle is blown. And while the Thunders did try to maintain their lead till the end, the Timberwolves' determination to win proved too much for them.

Anthony Edwards was the MVP of the game

It felt like Anthony Edwards was everywhere in the last quarter, trying to match every opponent, doing even he could to get the Wolves to a win. He scored 17 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists, only behind Jaden McDaniels with 27 points and 10 rebounds, and Naz Reid with 22 points and 11 rebounds. According to Jalen Williams of the OKC,
“We just stopped playing, to be honest, and then they got life ...
I don't know [why], there's no real reason to it."Their intensity dropped after the team thought it was a game won, but the wolves showed them how wrong they were to think that and brought new life to the game before it could end. And finally, the Minnesota Timberwolves came out victorious against the Oklahoma City Thunders.
