Former basketball star Magic Johnson turned businessman recently sat for a chat with Washington Commanders quarterback and rising NFL star Jayden Daniels and his mom Regina Jackson. Besides football, they also talked about life as such and more. Daniels’ mom has always been vocal about 24-year-old Daniels’ NFL career and has been instrumental in keeping it all together.

Sharing a picture with Daniels and his mom Regina Jackson on Instagram, Johnson wrote, “I enjoyed sitting down with our star Quarterback Jayden Daniels and his mom Regina Jackson today talking about this upcoming season and life after football. Commander fans, we have a true leader. It was great to get to know Jayden off the field and listen to his mom’s vision for his brand!”

Fans of the basketball legend were happy to see the two celebrities in one frame. A fan reacted, “So Awesome!! Jayden Daniels is HIM and his mother Regina is amazing in her own right!” Another wrote, “Excellent!! Regina is a superstar herself as well.” One more commented, “Thank both of you for helping save this beloved franchise.”
Johnson is a minority owner of the Washington Commanders besides being a co-owner of several other teams including WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks, MLS' Los Angeles FC and NWSL's Washington Spirit. He was recently awarded US’ highest civilian award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. During his career in the NBA, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers and is one of the greatest point guards of all time.

Jayden Daniels was selected by the Washington Commanders with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. His rookie season is widely regarded as one of the greatest in NFL history, earning him the prestigious title of Offensive Rookie of the Year. He shattered the rookie quarterback rushing record for most yards in a single season and played a pivotal role in guiding the Washington Commanders to their highest win total in years, culminating in their first NFC Championship Game appearance since 1991.

He is the son of Javon Daniels, a former cornerback for Iowa State and Washington around 1998. He inspired him to play football and went on to mentor and coach him.
