NEW DELHI: The Dallas Mavericks secured a narrow 127-125 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, with key contributions from Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Dante Exum. Doncic led the Mavericks with 33 points and 17 assists, orchestrating the offense effectively. Hardaway Jr. added 32 points, and Exum had a career-best night from long range, scoring 26 points with seven 3-pointers.

Despite the Lakers' efforts, highlighted by Anthony Davis' game-high 37 points and LeBron James' 33 points, the Mavericks were able to hold on to the lead in the closing minutes. Exum's crucial 3-pointers, along with Doncic's clutch plays, helped Dallas secure the win.

The game featured back-and-forth action, and the Lakers, playing in their first game since winning the NBA's in-season tournament, managed to erase a 15-point deficit. However, the Mavericks' trio of Doncic, Hardaway Jr., and Exum proved to be too much for the Lakers to overcome.

Dante Exum's seven 3-pointers were a career-high and played a crucial role in the Mavericks' offensive firepower. The win improved Dallas to 2-0 against the Lakers this season.

Despite shooting efficiently, with a 53.8 percent overall field goal percentage and a 51.7 percent mark from beyond the arc, the Lakers couldn't secure the victory. Austin Reaves contributed 22 points for the Lakers, but Exum's late-game heroics secured the Mavericks' win.
