The Philadelphia 76ers are all set to host the Los Angeles Lakers at the Wells Fargo Center this Tuesday. The Lakers have been in brilliant form, winning four games in a row. The 76ers on the other hand are struggling hard and are barely holding on to the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference. With momentum on the Lakers’ side, Philadelphia’s home-court advantage might not mean a lot tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers vs Charlotte Hornets: Prediction

The Philadelphia 76ers have completely lost the plot this season as they currently sit at 11th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 17-27. Their progress has been haltered thanks to all the injuries that Embiid has been plagued with. As a result, the team has failed to find any momentum holding a record of 3-7 over their last 10 games.

Furthermore, both Paul George and Joel Embiid are expected to sit out tonight’s game against the Lakers. Without their star duo on the court, the 76ers will have to hang all their hopes on Tyrese Maxey. Maxey has been in excellent form, recording 26.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game. While his play is commendable, it will take more than this to defeat the Lakers without his supporting cast.

The Lakers have been in excellent form over the last couple of months climbing from 11th to fifth in the Western Conference. A lot of the credit goes to LeBron James and Anthony Davis who have been ever present for their team despite being on the injury report ahead of most games.

Our prediction: The Lakers will win

With the Lakers in this kind of form, it will take a massive team effort out of the Los Angeles Lakers to get a result out of this game. It’ll be interesting to see how Philadelphia adjusts to the absence of their star players.
