The
NBA legend, ‘King’ James was listed as out on Friday last week due to foot soreness and injury in left foot. On Sunday, he graced his presence back to the basketball court. According to sources, he has been away from Los Angeles due to ‘personal reasons'. Fans are left to speculate his absence and personal reasons. So far he has been absent from two games this season, last Sunday's match between the Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers being his first.
Missed Two Games Still A Trailblazer That's The Magic Of LeBron James
Still he made it to Los Angeles on Sunday just in time for the Lakers vs Memphis Grizzlies, where LeBron scored 18 points and registered eight rebounds and eight assists in an action-packed 34 minutes where the Lakers won by 116-110. Previously James wasn't seen neither in action nor on the bench in Minnesota when the Lakers faced the Timberwolves.
On Wednesday, Lakers coach told reporters, ‘LeBron is not with the team right now. He's out for personal reasons, excused absence.’
He also said that the icon is taking some break and has no exact time fixed for return. The 39 year old NBA icon's absence is marred by trade rumors.
The Golden State Warriors are reportedly eyeing the veteran as a potential second star alongside Steph Curry.
ESPN's reporter, Brian Windhorst said on the network's ‘Get Up’ that, ‘The Warriors have dreamed of pairing LeBron with Steph Curry and Draymond Green since last year.’
They've made an inquiry and it got shut down last February. That was before LeBron played with Steve Kerr and Steph Curry and won the gold medal over the summer. So, they will definitely monitor the situation, and I don't think they do anything without knowing this door is locked, but I would just say with LeBron, it's up to him. He has a no-trade clause and he has given no indication he wants the Lakers to do anything but upgrade the roster they've got, not that he wants to go anywhere.’
The Veteran NBA Legend And His Son Became First Ever Father-Son Duo To Play Alongside With Each Other
Bronny James, son of LeBron James, got selected by the Lakers in the second round of the 2024 draft. Thus fulfilling the veteran icon's lifelong dream of playing alongside his son. They were suited up to play for the Lakers' season opener in Minnesota. However James Jnr. is expected to move between Los Angeles and South Bay this season since he got assigned to the Lakers G-League affiliate earlier last month.
