While the Knicks are one of the top teams, it has been pretty stressful to see how they performed. But Johnson feels, there’s somebody who could save the Knicks, and it is Kevin Durant.Kevin Durant has had a brilliant career. A 15 time NBA star with a record breaking career, might have to leave Phoenix Suns this summer. The team secured Durant’s spot from Brooklyn Nets back in 2022-2023. The Suns managed to keep stars like Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, but Durant and his team couldn’t perform well.The team knows there are changes required urgently. Even as the Suns are trying hard to get Durant back, there are many speculations round the corner, but there is no conclusive confirmation yet. Teams like the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs, Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, and New York Knicks have shown interest. Fans could wait for any new update. On Thursday, NBA legend Magic Johnson was on ESPN's "Get Up.” He feels, Kevin Durant to join the Knicks, since he feels, the team is too slow. He said, “I think Giannis [Antetokounmpo] stays in Milwaukee, but Kevin Durant, that’s an interesting piece. The Knicks are too slow….They’re gonna get a little faster. To me, Kevin Durant will allow them to get faster and be a guy that can help Brunson in the fourth quarter. … I like Kevin Durant playing with the Knicks. I really do.” Further, Johnson explained why Durant is the best idea of Knicks. He said, "They got to get a little faster, right? And to me, Kevin Durant will allow them to get faster and be a guy that can help Brunson in the fourth quarter.”He said, "You're relying on Brunson so much, one guy can't get you there. You got to give him some help. Kevin Durant will be a guy who will give you some help on the offensive end. Plus, he's able to put the teams that they play against in foul trouble,” he added."I like Kevin Durant playing with the Knicks. I really do. A champion, he can teach the other guys how to win the championship. That would be important. But the main thing here is everybody's got to step up, Jay, and be better next season,” he said.
