NEW DELHI: Jarrett Allen led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 127-119 victory over the Atlanta Hawks with a double-double, scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds. Donovan Mitchell contributed 22 points and 13 assists for the Cavaliers, breaking their three-game losing streak. Isaac Okoro added 18 points, and Dean Wade scored 16.
Despite Trae Young's impressive performance with 35 points and 10 assists, the Hawks couldn't overcome Cleveland's control of the game. Dejounte Murray contributed 21 points, and De'Andre Hunter scored 18 for Atlanta, which has now lost six of its last seven games. Onyeka Okongwu and Bruno Fernando added 16 and 13 points, respectively, off the bench.
Cleveland took an early lead and maintained control throughout the game, securing their second victory over Atlanta this season.
The Cavaliers dominated the first half, establishing a 70-52 lead by halftime. Jarrett Allen was a key contributor, scoring 21 points in the first two quarters.
Despite a second-half effort by the Hawks to cut the deficit, Cleveland held on to secure the win. Atlanta played with a depleted roster, missing Clint Capela and Bogdan Bogdanovic due to injuries. Cleveland, on the other hand, was without Darius Garland and Evan Mobley.
The Cavaliers and the Hawks are scheduled to face each other again on January 20 in Atlanta.
