The Sacramento Kings chose him in 2020, before he was traded to the Indiana Pacers in 2022. Since joining the Indiana Pacers, Haliburton’s play has gotten better each year. People recognize him by his great passes, solid decisions and calmness. But he hasn’t helped his team advance as far as the playoffs would allow.
Brian Windhorst, reporting for NBA Today on ESPN on May 27, 2025, shared his opinion. He pointed out that Haliburton is good, but it’s Jalen Brunson who leads the team when it’s crunch time. This added to the existing discussion.
