“I almost lost myself”: Lamar Odom's ex-wife Khloe Kardashian recently opened up about their controversial marriage

The former NBA player, Lamar Odom, tied the knot with reality TV star and famous socialite Khloe Kardashian back in 2009 and got officially divorced in 2016, but their marriage was full of trouble. At that point in time, Lamar Odom was still active in his NBA career, but he was dealing with a lot of issues related to addiction. After their divorce in 2016, Khloe Kardashian broke contact with Lamar Odom, but the two recently met on a latest episode of The Kardashians, and what followed was an emotional discussion about their marriage.

Khloe Kardashian Admits To “Losing Herself” In Her Marriage With Lamar Odom As The Two Met After Nine Years

On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Lamar Odom came face to face with his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, after nine years and referred to her as his “wife”. To this, Khloe Kardashian looked at Lamar Odom and said, “Okay, calm down”.

The two then spoke about their marriage, and Khloe Kardashian opened up about what she went through in her short marriage with Lamar Odom.

She said, "I don't have a lot of emotions for this meeting. I have dealt with so much trauma in this relationship. For years, this was the love of my life.”

Khloe Kardashian added, "I had to break contact with him because Lamar was repeating some of the same behaviors that I just couldn't stand for. I had to learn the hard way that I can't save anyone in that position. I almost lost myself—and I probably did at some points—trying to save him."

While this meeting was emotional for both Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, the former NBA player appeared a bit uncomfortable as he spoke to his ex-wife for the first time in nine years.

The two got married just after a month of dating in 2009. Soon, there was trouble in their relationship and by July 2015, they both had signed their divorce papers.

However, in October 2015, the former NBA player was found unconscious at a legal brothel in Nevada and at that point, Khloe withdrew her request for divorce and stayed with him until he made a full recovery,

The two finally divorced in 2016, after seven years of marriage.
