Sophie played only 30 games this season. Post the injury, the Fever team announced that the athlete will stay absent for the rest of the season. Sophie ended her 2025 season run with an average of 8.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals. While fans are eagerly waiting and expecting the athlete to return for the upcoming season, the latest update on her injury might not be very good news.

The announcement came from Sophie Cunningham’s latest Instagram story. It was merged with two other life updates from the WNBA star. Sophie faced a major knee injury during a game against the Connecticut Suns. Ever since, the athlete has been sidelined not just for the remainder of the game but also for the rest of the season.
Now, in her Instagram story, Sophie stated, “Okay, I got two things, really two things. So, leaving rehab. Hamstring is on fire. Like not recovering. Oh my God. It hurts so bad.”

Along with her injury update, Sophie continued to lighten up the mood with two other casual life updates. The first one was about how her after-shower habits have affected her skin, resulting in pimple formation and the second one was about the fuel availability of her car and if she can reach home before the car runs out of it. Sophie has been quite consistent with her Instagram stories lately.
