After his playing career was over, Junior Bridgeman did not let it stop his strive for greatness. He became a billionaire businessman with his grit and integrity but did not forget his roots. As an African American, he gave back to his people and his community in ten folds, working with his wife Doris, to give access to so many from the community to things that may have seemed beyond their reach at one time.

He has inspired many young athletes and other individuals to find their place in the world by becoming a testament to what can be achieved even beyond the court. He served on the boards of PGA of America, Churchill Downs Inc, Fifth Third Bank, Jackson Hewitt, Governor's Scholar Program, Crusade for Children Foundation, University of Louisville’s Board of Trustees, Louisville Arena Authority, and many more, and is someone who will always be remembered for his generosity and kindness.
